Integrating Shopify with fabric - Fabric

Key Capabilities

• Data Synchronization: The integration syncs both historical and ongoing data from your Shopify store.
• Order Importing: Both Open and Closed orders are imported into fabric. Closed orders are automatically marked as shipped within fabric.
• Non-Intrusive Testing: During the testing phase, no data is pushed back to Shopify from fabric. This ensures your live store operations remain unaffected while you validate the integration.
• Data Mapping: Shopify data maps one-to-one with fabric data models. An exception is the network entity, which is automatically configured by the integration during setup.
• Real-Time Updates: After installation and configuration, real-time updates from Shopify to fabric are facilitated through Shopify webhooks.

Pre-requisites

To install the fabric Shopify integration:

• You must choose the appropriate fabric tenant/account for the installation.
• If you are not yet a fabric customer, please contact fabric to provision an account before using the integration.

Policy Management with Shopify

fabric provides built-in policy management tools that govern core workflows in the order lifecycle. These policies are triggered by customer actions and define how scenarios such as returns or cancellations are handled. Available policies include:

• Auto-Cancellation Policies: Automatically cancel orders under specified conditions.
• Reallocation Rules: Govern how inventory is reassigned when fulfillment constraints arise.

These policy configurations are available out-of-the-box for all users of the Shopify integration and can be tailored to match specific business needs.
