Experience
Jay is currently an advisor at fabric, following his role as Chief Customer Officer. Prior to fabric, Jay was Chief Digital Officer of Chico’s FAS from 2021 through its acquisition by Sycamore Partners in 2024. Jay oversaw the Company’s Digital First strategy, end-to-end data and technology, customer service, and the global supply chain—this included implementing new platforms in e-commerce, omni-channel OMS, Search, PIM, A/B Testing, Customer Service, and a headless front end.
Prior to joining Chico’s FAS, Jay served as Chief Digital Officer at FTD®, elevated from CIO & CTO when the company went into distress. As the new P&L owner, he was instrumental in driving the company’s merchandising, marketing, technology functions, supply chain, and e-commerce operations, leading to the dramatic and successful turnaround, bringing 10X EBITDA to the floral business within two years ($4MM to $40MM).
Previously, Jay served as Chief Technology Officer at Vitacost, part of the Kroger company, where he led technology, fulfillment, distribution, social media, and customer service; and CIO and SVP of Customer Success at Rosetta Stone through their IPO.
A former Commissioned Officer in the United States Coast Guard and soldier in the United States Army, Jay received his master’s degree in Telecommunications and Computing Management from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering and his bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from the United States Coast Guard Academy.
